pumpkin patch

I love fall! Besides the wonderful obvious of the smell of pencils and pumpkin pie. Of having the windows open and the wind blowing through the house. The rich golden colors of the earth caused by the changing leaves and the suns different angle in the sky. Oh how I love the crisp feel at night with my bedroom door open and the crickets lulling me to sleep. But fall to me means so much more than that. I met my dear Tom in October. And made the best choice of my life and married him in October. I gave birth to 3 of my children in September and October. I even moved to my Susan house in October and my faithful dog Louie died in October. So fall represents everything wonderful in my life. Each year it arrives I have back to back reminders of all the blessings in my life. What season could be better that that?

So every year I love to go to the pumpkin patch. Tom tolerates it and all my kids used to love it. But now that Nicholas has decided to grow up and Benjamin wants to do everything like his brother they decided they were not thrilled about the whole thing. On top of that
I had to wake Charlie up from his nap to go. So now I am terribly outnumbered on who wants to go to the pumpkin patch. It's just me and my little Ella who are dieing to go I bribed my boys with In-n-Out burger--food does the trick every time. So notice Nicholas listening to his i-pod. Oh well, he does tune us out but at least he's there. Charlie was too tired to enjoy himself and I had to put the picture of him bawling in the car with his hat on. It just says it all. But I have to say it was perfect to me--I had my fall blessings with me.

France 2008

I know who goes to France for 2 weeks? I do when I have the most wonderful Dad in the whole world. The first week spouses were included and the second week it was just my sisters and my parents. That's right my sisters and me in a foreign country trying to speak french. We can't even go to the mall without killing ourselves laughing. More funny stories then I could ever fit on some dumb blog. Thank goodness Angelin has gone and written the funnies so we will never forget-- not that we would anyway. So I will just say that I will forever just smile if I hear the word french, France or anything of the like. I found that I love the french people and Tom and I are racking our brains trying to think how we can move there even for the summer. House swap anyone?

Hebgen Lake August 2008

We headed up to the cabin in August for some summer fun. Grandpa and Grandma Brown came up for a couple of days too. I can't even say how fun it was to be together as a family. With Nicholas getting older and wanting to spend less and less time with us. The cabin becomes even more of a perfect spot then I already thought it was. It is a place with no phone, t.v. and any outside distraction. In it's place is a boat, jet ski's, and motorcycles. Endless family fun. We also spent a couple of days exploring Yellowstone with my Dad. Priceless!

#53 Nicholas Call

Tom is writing this not Hilary. Hilary wants to make sure that everybody knows that this is my post and not hers. Nicholas is loving his football team. He lives for "game day" and his entire life revolves around football and his team. He has made a lot of new friends and is enjoying his High School experience thus far. His team is undefeated and they are having a great year!

Even though Nicholas is a big high school boy now he still loves to be hugged by his mom:)

My 39th Birthday

The whole family celebrating the big day. Now I just need to get ready to turn 40 next year!
